The Edmonton Military Family Resource Centre (MFRC), a charitable, non-profit organization that provides programs and services to military families, is accepting resumes for the position of Playschool/Terrific Twos and Threes Child Care Educator. This is a seasonal position (September to June) with an average work week of 23 - 30 hours depending on program requirements.

Key responsibilities:

• Assist the Instructor in providing activities designed to promote social, emotional, physical and intellectual growth.

• Assist with planning, implementing and evaluating a quality, age-appropriate program
• Assist in craft preparation on a daily basis
• Directly responsible for the care and safety of children within the program
• Maintain a neat and clean learning environment

Applicants must have a certification as either a child development assistant, a child development worker, or a child development supervisor or equivalent with a minimum of one-year related experience as well as current First-Aid certificate in child care.

Additional requirements:  Applicants must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, clear Police Security Clearance for People Working in Vulnerable Position, and clear Child Intervention Record Check. Preference is given to individuals who are bilingual in French and English.

The salary range for this position is $16 - $18 per hour plus government top up, based on ECE Level and experience.
