Job Summary:
The Food Bank Lead Driver reports directly to the Food Access Supervisor and works in collaboration with the Warehouse, Fresh Food Recovery and Home Delivery Coordinators along with key satellite location staff. The Lead Driver will be responsible for the day-to-day oversight of the drivers including the scheduling and coordinating of driver routes, managing vehicle maintenance, ensuring safety practices are followed, and maintaining positive public presence when out in the community. The Lead Driver provides mentoring as necessary, and collaborates and interacts with others in a positive, and effective manner. The Lead Driver must have the ability to make sound decisions and be proactively involved in storage capacity decisions.
