Employment Type: Permanent Full-Time (35 hours per week)

Job Summary:

 

The Program Coordinator provides operational support in delivering the program services. This position assists the Program Director to produce performance outcomes and deliver quality service aligned with the contractual objectives and expectations.

 

Reports to: Program Director

 

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

 

  •  Provides assistance with staff recruitment.
  • Coordinates and implements the program as specified in the contract to ensure quality services and outcomes are achieved.
  • Assists the Program Director in overseeing service delivery and program implementation
  •  Supervises staff team to achieve measurable objectives and outcomes.
  •  Provides employment support sessions and facilitates cohort trainings to clients if needed.
  • Reviews client files to ensure proper documentation and records.
  •  Reviews work placement contracts with employers.
  •  Prepares quarterly reports and financial claims.
  • Communicates with and outreach to service providers for client referrals.
  •  Performs other related tasks as assigned by the Program Director.

 

Education. Training & Experience:

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Social Sciences, Social Work, Career Development or Vocational Rehabilitation
  • Certified Career Development Practitioner (CCDP) or equivalent designation or demonstrated plan to pursue a similar designation
  • Three years of work experience in a social service environment as a program coordinator and/or senior employment case manager
  • Experience and knowledge in career counseling
  • Experience in working with youth with complex barriers and challenges
  • Experience in facilitating workshops and group activities
  • Knowledge of labor market trends and information in British Columbia

  • Ability to provide job search support for youth
  • Ability to conduct and interpret client needs assessments
  • Ability to support youths in developing realistic and achievable Action Plans

  • Ability to work independently and as a part of a team
  • Excellent technical skills in MS Office and web-based applications
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to excellence in service delivery

 

Additional Information:

 

  • Criminal Record Check Required
  • Ability to work at multiple outreach locations across Greater Vancouver
  • Ability to work occasionally on weekends and evenings as required
