Ontario Herbalists Association (OHA) Administrative Coordinator Role
Duties:
- Facilitate the organization’s administrative team
- Check in with team members regularly, forward items as needed, follow-up with tasks until they are completed
- Provide weekly status updates to board, president or liaison
- Task-track and keep log of tasks to be completed and action items
- Track and prepare meeting Agendas
- Send reminders to board members, meeting notices, action items, and any additional items that requires their attention
- Must be able to attend board meetings as an admin team leader
- Reply to correspondents when necessary
- Keep an active calendar of
- (1) events
- (2) notices - member, board, committees, action item reminders
- (3) Duties & tasks
- (4) All Meetings
- (5) Newsletters
- (6) Contract renewals
- Other duties as assigned
Skills/Qualities:
- Self-starter, can work from home mostly on their own, with a team remotely
- Team leader, positive attitude and willingness to work with others
- Excellent time management skills
- Great communication (oral and written language) skills
- Proficiency with written English, spreadsheets, common word processing software, calendar management software
- Initiative in identifying areas of improvement
- Past experience with task-tracking or administration
- Experience working with or in a volunteer organization an asset
Compensation and Time Commitment:
- Up to 25 hrs per month
- $30/hr compensation
- Contract to be review upon completion of 3-month probation period
