We are on the lookout for an enthusiastic and creative communicator to oversee our social media activities. If you’re
passionate about community and possess a knack for crafting engaging social media campaigns, a keen interest in
photography, video, and social media engagement, we want to hear from you! Fluency in both written and spoken
languages is an asset, as is a strong desire to connect with and empower our community.
Responsibilities
• Collaborate with our team to create and schedule compelling social media content across platforms like
Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and TikTok, showcasing our events, programs, and community initiatives.
• Collaborate closely with the team to ensure consistent messaging, reporting and timely updates.
• Set up and optimize the centre’s pages within each platform to increase the visibility of social content.
• Monitor social media channels, respond to comments, messages, and inquiries, and maintain a lively
presence.
• Develop and execute social media campaigns to promote upcoming events, programs and membership drives.
• Create editorial calendars and posting schedules.
• Curate and create compelling content including videos, photos, and storylines.
• Conceptualize themes and schedule engaging posts to build meaningful connections and encouraging action.
• Encourage user-generated content through strategies that will foster community involvement.
• Moderate all user-generated content in line with the moderation policy.
• Manage the member and volunteer newsletter to keep them informed.
• Facilitate urgent communications from the board through designated channels.
• Analyze performance metrics, track engagement, reach, demographics, provide insights for strategies.
• Stay up-to-date with trends and best practices, to enhance our presence and connect with our community.
Qualifications
• Experience in social media management or digital marketing.
• Previous experience in social media marketing, content creation, or community management.
• Strong creative and strategic thinking skills along with a creative flair for crafting engaging content.
• Strong passion for community and a genuine interest in the diverse events and programs offered by our centre.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities in both official languages (French and English).
• Familiarity with social media platforms and their respective audiences, and knowledge of management tools.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating initiative and independence.
• Passion for community engagement and building online communities.
