Are you our next Employer Coach? We are looking for an individual who will present and promote Goodwill’s Employer Inclusion Accelerator program to employers, and work closely with employers to support them at various stages from pre-employment assessment to post-employment job retention. In addition, the individual is expected to help organize job fairs and other delivery events.
What you’ll be doing:
Outreach and promotion of Employer Inclusion Accelerator (EIA) program to employers
Working with admin support team to develop process to create and maintain employer database
Working with Career Connections team and other Goodwill TMs to leverage existing employer relationships to grow this program
Developing new employer contacts via cold calls and other networking methods
Presenting group workshops on employment related topics that help promote programs and provide education to attendees that helps build capacity
Helping to organize career development conferences, job fairs and other career related events
Working with employer to identify appropriate tasks and roles, carve out tasks (job carving), assess employer’s staffing needs, advise appropriate recruiting strategies, support advertising and recruitment of positions
Advising employers on appropriate screening, selection and interview methods
Working with employers after employment to support onboarding, orientation, ongoing training, retention and growth
Conducting program evaluation by collecting feedback from employers and other stakeholders
Assisting in the preparation of various program reports and funding proposals
Maintaining accurate documentation and provide statistical information as requested
Collaborating with colleagues on certain projects and programs
What you bring to the table:
Post-secondary education in business, human resources, or equivalent
Experience in recruitment, employment counseling, job development and prior work experience in a professional field required
Sound knowledge of labour market trend, job search strategies and job development cycle
Strong relationship building skills with employers
Previous experience in business development
Working knowledge of the Employment Standards Act
Must be eligible to work in Canada.
