Welcome to CAP (The Canadian Association for Porphyria). We are small patient advocacy organization that is mostly run by a team of volunteers. Our aim and focus is raise awareness of Porphyria and its impacts, work with local HCP's and patients to assist in appropriate paths to diagnosis and to provide both one on one and group support and resources for people living with Porphyria.

We are seeking a professional who can act as our Administrator. This is a position that is our only paid position and is central to the success of our organization and keeping the volunteers organized. We are seeking someone with the following skill set:

1. Works 5 - 10 hours a week (this is negotiable)

2. Must be available the third sunday a month for board meetings for 1 - 2 hours

3. Develops and distributes board materials (board package, meeting minutes and agenda) 

4. Updates website and Linktree as needed

5. Creates Porphyria information and content for the website when required

6. Creates a newsletter quarterly for the organization

7. Updates and maintains patient and HCP lists

8. Responds to enquiries via email, phone, social media

9. Maintains social media posts (Facebook, Instagram, Linkedin etc)

10. Attends conferences on behalf of the organization (may require paid international travel)

We are looking for someone who can learn about the disease area, is passionate and caring and can grow as part of our very dedicated team. We are willing to consider applicants across Canada and are flexible with the hours worked.
