Join our team as a temporary full time Labour Market Facilitator working Monday to Friday (37.5 hours per week) across multiple communities with an office in our beautiful Delta location. This position may also work a hybrid schedule (remote and in-office). The position offers a competitive salary based on experience ($70,000-$80,000), 3 weeks vacation, a competitive benefits package, and professional development opportunities). This temporary position will end on March 31, 2027.

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY:

The mandate of the Labour Market Facilitator is to successfully deliver on the Ready Willing and Able (RWA) initiative which is to create meaningful and equitable employment opportunities for job seekers with a developmental disability. The Labour Market Facilitator will generate business demand to hire inclusively and share this demand with employment service agencies supporting job seekers with a developmental disability in the communities of Delta, Surrey, Richmond, Vancouver, and Burnaby. 

This position is a vital link between businesses, community employment agencies, and community. Building relationships with relevant interest holders is critical in achieving the overall outcome of the initiative.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A Degree or Diploma in Human Sciences, Communications, Marketing or a related field; AND
  • Two or more years of related experience in job development, employment outcomes, sales, or similar role supporting adults with developmental disabilities, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience;
  • Demonstrated knowledge of barriers faced by people with developmental disabilities in accessing the labour market;
  • Experience in building relationships with diverse groups and interests;
  • Strong knowledge of local labour market issues and trends and employment laws and regulations;
  • Excellent presentation, facilitation and public speaking skills;
  • Superior written and oral communication skills, including virtual communication;
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment;
  • Demonstrated success and experience working in a community development framework an asset;
  • Proficiency in MS Office Applications;
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle.
