Come Work with Us! York West Active Living Centre (YWALC) is a not-for-profit organization that enriches the lives of adults 55 plus. YWALC supports healthy, independent living by providing innovative health and wellness programs. YWALC understands the importance of an active, healthy lifestyle and therefore we strive to maintain a wide range of health and wellness programs, educational workshops, and multicultural activities. Our membership and activities reflect the diverse population of our community, and we enthusiastically accept the challenge of bringing forward new and exciting programs to meet the needs of all our members.
What is the opportunity?
YWALC is looking for an energetic leader who is well versed in all aspects of program coordination related to a Senior Active Living Centre. The candidate will have extensive working knowledge in building community relationships, community-based services and programs and applicable legislation. The individual will have both leadership and non-profit experience and will have excellent communication skills and capable of multi-tasking on the full range of organizational activities.
Major areas of responsibility are:
Manage the full complement of programs, activities and services
Project Liaison
Staff Liaison for Fundraising and Program Committees
Facility Maintenance
Administration
