The Role 

The Fundraiser supports the financial growth and sustainability of the theatre company by implementing fundraising initiatives during a focused two-month period. This role will include soliciting donations and sponsorships in person, over the phone. The ideal candidate is results driven and has previous sales experience.

End Date: July 31st 2026

Compensation: $5,040 ($18/h)

This role is part of Summer Ensemble 2026.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Donor and sponsor outreach through email, phone, and in-person campaigns.
• Meeting fundraising targets.
• Conduct door-to-door outreach to local businesses and community partners to solicit sponsorships and donations
• Learn, follow and execute precise scripted client interactions.
• Track and report weekly progress toward fundraising KPIs (e.g., number of contacts reached, proposals submitted, sponsorship leads generated).
• Maintain accurate records of donor interactions and communication in the CRM or tracking spreadsheet.

This is a learning on the job role and will also entail the following requirements: 

participate in learning activities about professional companies (employers), funding bodies and grants;

complete delegated tasks such as research or reports or articles in a timely matter; 

under mentorship learn fundraising techniques;

learn how to set up, and use a client relationship database software (CRM).

General Manager, Artistic Director

Requirements: 

• • Be available to work online and in person at our theatre (3650 Dixie Rd, Mississauga, ON L4Y 3V9) and studio (2359 Royal Windsor Drive Unit 210, Mississauga, ON L5J 4S9).

• • Be available for all dates and hours stated in contract.

• • Be a Canadian Citizen, have a PR, or refugee status.

• • Be between 18 – 30 years of age at the start of the employment.

Education and Experience:

Experience and Education in Theatre is preferred, but not required.

Languages:

English. Knowledge of any other language is a plus.
