  1. Participates with the Board of Directors in developing a vision and strategic plan to guide the organization;
  2. Acts as an advisor to the Board of Directors on all aspects of the organization's activities by:                                a) Informing Board of legal and NE-IHIN and Ministry requirements                                                                          b) Preparing recommendations for Board and Committee's short and long-term objectives and priorities;                 c) Keeping Board informed of organization activities, progress and problems;
  3. Develops an operational plan which incorporates goals and objectives that work towards the strategic directions of the organization; Oversees the efficient and effective day-to-day operation of the organization; Administers all policy and procedures;
  4. Is responsible for the implementation and the delivery of French Language Services according to the Designation Plan.
  5. Works With Board appointed committee to identify, and evaluate the risks to the organization and recommends and implements mesure to reduce risks;
  6. Works with Staff and the Board  to prepare a comprehensive budget;
  7. Administers the funds of the organization according to the approved budget;
  8. Participates to the negotiations of the Collective Agreement;
  9. Ensures adherence to Collective Agreement, pertinent legislation, and personnel policies and position descriptions;
  10. Performs all functions pertaining to human resources management;
  11. Coordinates the involvement of psychiatric resources and oversees scheduling of psychiatric clinics;
  12. Facilitates regular individual and group supervision meetings;
  13. Ensures the planning, implementation and evaluation of the organization's programs and services and special projects;
  14. Develops program goals and objectives for Board approval ; Ensures that the programs and services offered by the organization contribute to the organization's mission and reflect the priorities of the Board;
  15. Establishes good working relationships and collaborative arrangements with community groups. funders, politicians, and other organizations to help achieve the goals of the organization; Reviews and handles complaints;
  16. Requirements:
  17. A Master's Degree in Psychology or M.S.W.;
  18. Registration with one of the relevant professional colleges;
  19. At least 5 years of relevant experience with progressive responsibilities in the field of mental health;                   
  20. Knowledge of human resources management;
  21. Knowledge of financial management;
  22. Functions in an ethical manner;
  23. Proficiency in the use of computers for Word Processing, E-mail and Internet;
  24. Ability to communicate fluently, both orally and in writing, in French and English is essential
  25. Driver's license and use of a vehicle;
  26. Clear Police Vulnerable Sector Check.
