What This Role Involves:

The Client/Creditor Liaison acts as an intermediary between our clients who have been placed on a Debt Management Program and their creditors.  You will be partnered with members of our Credit Counselling team to assist them in maintaining their portfolio of clients.  This includes following up with clients to book annual review meetings, answering inquiries, and following up on delinquent payments. 


You will also have interactions with creditors, negotiating their participation in the debt management program and reducing interest rates so that payments can go directly to the principle.  You play an important role in ensuring our client’s successful completion of their debt management program!

What We Are Looking For:

The successful applicant for this position will bring the following qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education preferred.
  • Two to three years customer service experience required, with previous banking/financial experience preferred.
  • Proven ability to negotiate with multiple parties.
  • Excellent communication & interpersonal skills, demonstrating a genuine desire to work as part of a team and help people.
  • Independent and creative thinker with a positive, can-do attitude and a solution-focused approach.

The starting salary for this role is $46,325, with some opportunity to credit related experience. In addition, we offer a semi-annual salary review process each January and July, so successful candidates can expect to receive regular increases to their salary, subject to meeting established performance objectives.
