About our Dental Clinic
The Mustard Seed Dental Clinic changes lives by providing provide dental care services! A healthy mouth free from dental pain and a smile to be proud of, these are life changing. Unfortunately, many people in our community suffer from dental pain because they are unable to access affordable dental care.
The Mustard Seed Dental Clinic is an established, not-for-profit clinic which operates four days per week. The environment is professional and positive with dedicated and experienced staff who work hard to provide essential dental services to low- and no-income individuals. The clinic is an integral part of the dental community providing 2,000 appointments every year which alleviates pressure on emergency room visits and local dental offices. Open since 2001, the clinic benefits from the volunteer services of many local dentists and dental professionals who offer their time and talent to help us expand our reach.
Through provincial grants and donations, we have been able to outfit our clinic with modern equipment and a new sterilization facility.
We have a strong working relationship with the UBC College of Dentistry and annually host residents who come to gain valuable experience.
As a result of the recent merger with The Mustard Seed, we are in the process of expanding our current wellness services for our clients including dental and healthcare. The goal is to grow these services to include addiction and recovery supports, life skills training, advocacy, identification recovery, tax assistance, employment readiness and coaching, and more. The Dental Clinic will be the anchor providing essential dental care and education services often unavailable to low- and no-income patients.
