Part Time Research Assistant
1 Year Contract

 

Geneva Centre for Autism is an international leader in the development and delivery of clinical intervention services and training. We offer a wide range of clinical services which are determined individually for each person with an Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). All of our clinical services are supported by a multi-disciplinary team of trained, experienced and empathic professionals including speech-language pathologists, behaviour analysts, therapists, early childhood educators, occupational therapists, developmental paediatricians, psychiatrists, psychologists and social workers. In addition, our staffing team is supported by a Professional Advisory Council which is composed of world-renowned clinicians, blending their expertise with ours. Consequently, Geneva Centre for Autism is able to provide the highest quality of clinical service to our clients.

 

Reporting to the Supervisor, Community Support Services, the Part Time Research Assistant is responsible for providing research knowledge and support to the P.E.E.R.S program.

 

Core Responsibilities:
•Organizes and participates in the evaluation of the research project
•Assists in the development and administration of various pre and post surveys
•Collects data through completion of prepared surveys; focus groups and survey monkey; using telephone interviews with consumers, direct observation, etc.
•Computer data entry
•Produces reports as required
•Maintains confidentiality of personal information in accordance with policy
•Other duties as assigned.

 

Minimum Qualifications:
•Post Secondary Education in a relevant discipline – completed or currently enrolled 
•Previous experience in collecting research data
•Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office and databases
•Related administrative support experience
•Must be organized and able to meet deadlines
•Good judgement and problem-solving skills
•Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
•Ability to work effectively in a team environment
•Knowledge of Autism, PDD and other developmental disorders an asset.

 

This position functions as an Independent Contractor and hours worked will be submitted by invoice.
