About the YMCA of Northern BC

The YMCA is the largest provider of child care in Canada and the YMCA of Northern BC is the largest not for profit in the north. Currently, we operate out of 13 locations within five communities across Northern BC offering a range of supports including child care, preschool, and out of school care. As an organization, we're continuing to grow our reach in the region while always guiding our decision making and behaviour with our core values of honesty, caring, respect, and responsibility.

At the YMCA of Northern BC we truly value our team of 96 exceptional staff that are working to support over 600 families by cultivating a fun and positive environment to work within. Our child care department is truly passionate about building relationships with the communities we work with and about providing quality learning experiences for children. If you believe in the potential of children and have the desire to be the ambassador of our cause then we want to hear from you.

Your strong communication skills and ability to build up a rapport with just about anyone you meet will serve you well in this role as you develop strong, mutually beneficial relationships with communities in order to offer any assistance they might need.

Finally, individuals that are passionate about the work that they do and are eager to help children thrive will excel in this role.
