James Cameron School is operated by the Fraser Valley Society for Children with Learning Disabilities, a registered charitable organization established in 1980. It is a small school of about 50 students and 20 staff members, specializing in educating elementary school-aged children with learning disorders, primarily dyslexia. James Cameron School has provided an approach with a focus on success-oriented learning and re-integration of all students into the regular school system when they have acquired the necessary skills. Our school celebrates diversity and addresses the intellectual, social, emotional and physical development of children who have Dyslexia and language-based learning disabilities. While we are located on the borders of Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows, we draw students from the entire Lower Mainland and Fraser Valley.
