Position: Membership Services Ambassador
Terms: Part time, daytime availability during the week, some evenings and weekends
The YMCA of Northern BC serves 20,000 people of all abilities, backgrounds and stages of life in Prince George and Northern British Columbia. We are a growing, multi-service association that offers health, fitness and recreation, licensed childcare, rehabilitation services, community support services and summer camps.
As a member of the YMCA Membership Services Team and reporting to the Membership Sales Supervisor, the Membership Services Ambassador ensures that the Membership Services desk is friendly and welcoming, and operates in a safe, efficient and effective manner. Focused on delivering a “5-Star Experience” to all YMCA Members and participants the Membership Services Ambassador is responsible for a wide variety of duties including membership sales and program registration; telephone inquiries; telephone sales and building tours. The YMCA is open 7x days per week. This position will include a variety of opening shifts (4:45 am) dayshifts, and mid-day shifts/closing shifts (10:15 pm) with the expectation of any of the listed shifts.

Planning/Organizing – Ability to establish a clearly defined and effective course of action for self and others to accomplish short and long term goals.
Problem Solving – Ability to identify an issue, gathers and processes relevant information, determines possible solutions, selects appropriate responses and implements and evaluates them.
Service Strategy – Ability to identify the needs and wants of members/participants as a priority and respond in an effective and timely manner to enhance every person’s YMCA experience.
Initiative/Enthusiasm/Innovation – Ability to manage and lead in order to achieve and exceed identified goals.
Community Awareness and Understanding – Demonstrates and promotes a personal understanding of an appreciation for the vision, mission and values of the organization.
