KidSafe is seeking Activity Leaders for our Spring Break program session!

School is the center of the universe for many children. It’s where they learn, play, eat, make friends, discover role models, develop lifelong social skills, and find help if a crisis arises. These essential services cease to exist for vulnerable children when schools close for winter, spring and summer breaks. KidSafe serves more than 450 of Vancouver's most at-risk youth by providing a safe space, developmental care and nutrition to children ages 5-13 when school is not in session.

Activity Leaders provide fun, engaging, supportive leadership to children ages 5-13 in our KidSafe programs. They are responsible for delivering art, swimming, sports and other various activities while ensuring participants feel safe and cared for. Some basic prep work, such as mild cleaning, is required throughout the day.

Dates: March 16th - 27th (Excluding Weekends)

Hours: 8:00 - 4:00

 JOB DUTIES:

  • Actively interact and build meaningful relationships through positive daily interaction with staff, youth and parents.
  • Create and maintain a positive atmosphere to build self-esteem and confidence in children.
  • Deliver developmentally appropriate programming in accordance with KidSafe standards.
  • Ensure the safety of all participants.
  • Maintain a neat, orderly, and clean environment.
  • Attend staff meetings and training events as required.

 REQUIREMENTS:

  • Current Standard First Aid and CPR-C & AED certificate an asset.

We look forward to hearing from you!
