Responsibilities and abilities
• The Active Play Program Facilitator will work to develop activities while facilitating and
supervising participants at various locations in the Nechako Lakes District. The successful
candidate will spend majority of the day physically active outside, in all types of summer
weather conditions.
Qualifications
• Must be 15-30 years of age
• Outgoing with ability to work unsupervised, take initiative, lead groups
• Proven Computer skills and ability to work with Microsoft Office
• Experience and/or education working in child care (Asset)
• Physical ability to complete tasks
• Child Care First Aid/CPR certificate (or willing to obtain one immediately upon starting)
• Must possess a valid Drivers license with a clear diver’s abstract
• Use of personal vehicle will be required
• Satisfactory Criminal Record and Clear Vulnerable Sector Search.
• Three satisfactory professional references.

determine possible solutions, selects appropriate responses and implements and evaluates them.
5. Service Strategy – Ability to identify the needs and wants of members/participants as a priority and
respond in an effective and timely manner to enhance every person’s YMCA experience.
6. Initiative/Enthusiasm/Innovation – Ability to manage and lead in order to achieve and exceed
identified goals.
7. Community Awareness and Understanding – Demonstrates and promotes a personal
understanding of and appreciation for the vision, mission and values of the organization.
8. Project Resource Management – Ability to manage a project from initial planning to completion.
9. Strategic Planning/Visioning - Ability to visualize future direction and formulate strategies, plans
and action to achieve vision.
