Project: Tri-Cities Local Immigration Partnership

Nature: Contractor

Duration: June 15, 2020 to March 31, 2021 (with potential renewal)

Compensation: $35,545 + GST (inclusive of travel & parking expenses)

Location: Tri-Cities (Coquitlam, Port Coquitlam, Port Moody)

 

About the Position:

The Project Coordinator is responsible for the planning, delivery and evaluation of project initiatives and activities, including annual forum, community engagement activities and other initiatives as identified by and in collaboration with the TCLIP Council and its members.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Plans and delivers the annual action and communications plan to support TC LIP’s strategic priorities in collaboration with Council members and Program staff
  • Collaborates with community stakeholders to identify, plan and deliver project initiatives and activities in support of TCLIP’s strategic priorities
  • Works with the Tri-Cities Local Immigration Partnership team members and community stakeholders to plan, implement and evaluate all aspects of events, community forums, conferences and community engagement dialogues including monitoring the event production plan and facilitating stakeholder planning meetings to ensure deliverables and outcomes are aligned with expectations
  • Oversees financial aspects of each deliverable as needed
  • Reports on deliverables and outcomes from action plans
  • Other related duties may be assigned and agreed upon

 

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Post-Secondary education
  • Experience working with a broad range of stakeholders
  • Experience in event management and communications
  • Knowledge of diversity and social inclusion best practices
  • Knowledge of resources for newcomers

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Detail oriented, highly organized and able to respond quickly to new or changing work demands
  • Excellent leadership skills and sound judgement
  • Excellent communication and public speaking skills
  • Proficient with computer usage, MS Office, and internet usage
  • Able to work independently and as a team player
  • Able to handle tasks in a discreet and confidential manner
  • Reliable with strong prioritization and time management skills

Other Requirements:

  • Clear Criminal Record Check (submitted upon contract signing)
  • Ability to travel across Tri-Cities or other Metro Vancouver locations
  • Participation in meetings, conferences and other events may involve long work days, and/or evening and weekend work.
  • Must have access to own tools required, such as laptop, printer, internet access and cell phone
  • Must comply with all applicable occupational health and safety laws in relation to the performance of Contractor’s obligations under this Contract, including the Workers Compensation Act in British Columbia
