JOB SUMMARY:

 

ConneXions is a mid-sized non-profit organization that provides a variety of services to people with intellectual disabilities. We have a new Executive Director and are expanding in exciting new ways. Our vision is an inclusive community where everyone has the opportunity to live active, fulfilling lives. This is an exciting new role with a dynamic, growing non-profit organization on the North Shore. We are looking for a marketing, communications and PR professional that will raise our brand awareness in the local community and beyond. Reporting to the Director of Innovation and Strategic Partnerships, the Marketing and PR Manager is responsible for supporting ConneXions mission and vision through developing and implementing strategies that support the strategic plan, and working with the Leadership and Marketing Team and our board members to bring more clarity to our branding and develop our key messages. You will be responsible for all the marketing, communications and public relations for the organization including supervision of the Marketing and Events Coordinator.

 

ROLE:

  • Responsible for creating, implementing and measuring the success of a comprehensive marketing, communications and public relations strategy that will raise the Society’s profile within the community including campaigns, events and digital marketing.
  • Planning and publicizing activities and events that would benefit the image, visibility, and reputation of ConneXions, ensuring that it is covered by the media.
  • Responsible for editorial direction, design, production and distribution of all the Society’s publications.
  • Analyze market data and information, trends in the industry.
  • Create, launch, execute and analyze marketing, social media and PR campaigns.
  • Work with the Marketing team on podcasts / vlogs / webinars.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Demonstrated experience creating, launching, executing and analysing campaigns
  • Demonstrated experience creating marketing and PR strategies and plans
  • Demonstrated experience marketing events
  • Initiative and ingenuity in Marketing and PR
  • Technical capabilities across multiple domains
  • Able to function independently and frequently under pressure, while managing multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
  • Established teamwork, leadership and supervisory skills
  • Advanced understanding and ability to implement marketing principles and processes
  • Self-motivated, excellent organizational skills and ability to multi-task
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Outstanding creativity, insight, and a positive, can-do attitude

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Three-year bachelor university degree with a focus on marketing, communication, public relations, business administration or other related fields. Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
  • Five or more years of experience in marketing and promotion, preferably in a non-profit environment.
  • CAR REQUIRED with a class 5 BCDL

WHAT WE CAN OFFER YOU:

  • Permanent, full-time position from our North Shore office with some remote work available
  • Salary of $67,000 / per annum

HOURS OF WORK 37.5hrs per week - typically 8:30am – 4:30pm in our office on the North Shore with flexibility as needed in the role.
