THE OPPORTUNITY !

 

Kids Kottage Foundation is recruiting for a casual Cook and Housekeeping and reporting to the Program Manager overseeing the kitchen and cleanliness of the Kottage. Ensuring the environment is welcoming, well kept, and nutritious meals are provided to every infant and child staying with Kids Kottage.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

 

         Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintain health and safety standards with the Kottage
  • Hold a Child Care First Aid certificate current within the last six months
  • Prepares menus as approved by Program Manager
  • Carries out the designated cleaning routine
  • Appropriately documents work completed
  • Ensures kitchen and dining area is left clean after meals
  • Assists with other position related tasks as directed

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education in Safe Food Handling
  • Possess a combination of education/ training and experience in cleaning and housekeeping
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience cooking in a home like environment
  • Driver’s License and Vehicle to purchase groceries

  • Possess the ability to work with direction and independently
  • Excellent time management and planning skills
  • A “roll up your sleeves” mentality
  • Driven towards excellence

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Local travel is required
  • Work schedule includes some days, and weekends
  • Work is performed in the Kottage and Administration office
