What you will bring
Our educators are passionate about creating lasting positive impact in
the lives of the children in our care from 3 months to 12 years. Our team

Learn™ and YMCA A Place to Connect™ curriculums. Our team members

in the power of teamwork.
Responsibilities and abilities
• To read, understand, and follow all YMCA, Child Care Facility Licensing, and
legal requirements, including YMCA Playing to Learn curriculum standards.
• To interact directly with the children, providing quality care and creative

Child Care
Employment Opportunities
• To maintain a neat, orderly, and clean environment, including all activity and program areas, common spaces
and washrooms.
• Release children to authorized by parent/guardian, ask for ID to ensure authorized pick-up has been verified.
• To work with staff team to deliver a high quality and age appropriate programs based on the YMCA Playing to
Learn curriculum and to attend YMCA Playing to Learn professional development sessions and trainings.
• To maintain confidentiality of all information related to the centre, the children, their families and staff.
• To maintain regular attendance, punctuality, and to be appropriately dressed and groomed.
• Current and valid License to Practice Early Childhood Education; Special Needs License to Practice an asset
• Current child care First Aid certificate and experience working with children in a child care/recreational setting
• TB test and Immunization record
• Three professional References
• The successful candidate will be required to provide a current and satisfactory Criminal Record Check and Clear
Vulnerable Sector Search. The YMCA will provide the applicable instructions.
