Position Title:                         Donor Relations Support

 

Status:                                    Full-time

 

Location:                                Currently located in Downsview Park with plans to relocate to the Rouge Park area in the future

 

Reports to:                             Operations Manager

 

Compensation:                      $35,000 or commensurate with experience

 

Position Summary:

 

As the first point of contact for many of our donors, we are looking for someone who enjoys interacting with members of the public; especially those with a love and appreciation of our wild neighbours. Although this position is mostly focused on donor relations and associated administrative duties, there is a lot of opportunity to get involved with our fundraising team assisting with events and other exciting donor related activities. Accountabilities:

  • Responsible for majority of donor (and potential donor) communications including in person, on the phone, and written (e-mail, paper, and some on-line)
  • Accepting and processing monetary and in-kind donations
  • Issuing acknowledgment and tax receipts
  • Assisting with in-house mailings
  • Assisting with ongoing maintenance of CRM and other donation related records
  • Assisting with other administrative and fundraising tasks as needed

Experience:

  • Experience in a customer service-focused setting
  • Experience working with eTapestry or other fundraising software an asset
  • Work or volunteer experience in an NGO in a similar role

Competencies:

  • Excellent interpersonal skills; must be personable both in person and on the phone
  • Highly proficient with computers especially Microsoft Office programs and CRMs
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Highly organized
  • Proven ability to multi-task and prioritize
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to take initiative and be inquisitive
  • Ability to work well with a team and independently
  • Genuine concern for and understanding of wildlife and environmental issues
