Last year, 45% of the businesses supported by the Futurpreneur Start-up Program were women led. Here’s the opportunity:

The Mentoring Advisor will assume a new role within the organization and will have the opportunity to play an integral part in expanding and enhancing Futurpreneur's National Mentoring Program. Reporting to the Director, Client and Mentor Support, and working collaboratively with peers on the mentoring team; the incumbent will develop continued mentoring engagement and excellence for Futurpreneur's 3,000+ volunteer mentors. The successful candidate will also be responsible for growth and ongoing development the national mentorship support program for our entrepreneurs and mentors.

 

What you will do:

  • Develop training modules and content for mentors engaging Futurpreneur mentors and subject matter experts as required;
  • Develop, engage and monitor the online Futurpreneur mentor community
  • Plan networking and various events in collaboration with Marketing and Programs Teams to help build a Futurpreneur mentor belonging and association in local communities
  • Develop ongoing industry-specific webinars and organize mentoring panels to help provide group mentorship support to entrepreneurs
  • Escalations and mediation of existing young entrepreneur and Mentor relationships
  • Contribute to the mentor recruitment strategy in collaboration with Futurpreneur leadership and development teams
  • Contribute to the entrepreneur and mentor community programs team to collaborate on the development and delivery of relevant programs helping young entrepreneurs succeed

What you will have:

  • Bilingualism in both French & English (spoken & written) is a must
  • Relevant experience may include education with a focus on mentorship, coaching and adult education/training or equivalent hands-on career experience.
  • 3-4 years of coaching and mentoring experience
  • Demonstrated experience designing, developing and delivering training programs, utilizing eLearning tools as required
  • Sound knowledge of mentoring resources and best practices, with an ability to seek/promote new information
  • Demonstrated ability to independently manage projects, project financials, and relationships cross-departmentally
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Experience working with entrepreneurs, startups and business development is considered a strong asset
  • Good understanding of volunteer management issues;
  • Well organized with an ability to complete administrative tasks independently.

  • Be a role model for Futurpreneur’s organizational culture by creating a positive impact at every touchpoint with people.
