CONTROL ROOM ASSISTANT
Reporting to the Assistant Security Supervisor, the Control Room Assistant is stationed in the Security Office and monitors departmental systems, including CCTV, alarm systems, art monitoring systems, CCTV recording system, HVAC, Fire, radios, and Key control. The Security office acts as the communication centre and dispatch for the Gallery. The Control Room Assistant responds to and assists in directing inquiries from staff and visitors; responds to alarms and dispatches the appropriate response. Assists with activities with regards to gallery special events and functions. Performs other related duties.
High school graduation required and courses in the security field are an asset. Three years experience in security in a computerized security environment, preferably in a large public attraction centre. The ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and evenings.
SALARY: Pay Grade 11, $19.72 per hour, Step 2
HOURS: on call, as needed, must be available for 24/7 shift work
