Richmond Addiction Services Society (RASS) is currently accepting applications for an experienced Executive Director with strong leadership, strategy, and community engagement skills, who is passionate and dedicated to preventative addiction services. This is an opportunity to lead a well-respected and appreciated organization that has supported the Richmond community for over 40 years. RASS is looking for a new leader to lead the continued growth of the organization, identify new opportunities to fulfill community needs, and incorporate a more holistic approach to services.
RASS is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing expertise in preventing and treating addictions in their community. RASS has a team of 9 board members, 15 unionized staff, as well as volunteers all dedicated to promoting healthy and safe living for individuals and families in the Richmond community. The society is accredited by Accreditation Canada.
The ideal candidate is passionate and dedicated to preventative addiction services, leads with compassion, and always strives to live their values. They have exceptional people engagement and business leadership skills, and are able to prioritize relationships and support the professional growth and wellbeing of staff and volunteers, while advancing the aims of the organization. They are a professional individual who understands how to grow an organization that provides a range of services and operates in a complex, diverse, and sensitive environment. The ideal candidate will have experience and familiarity with community and social services non-profit organizations, ideally those providing mental health, addictions, and trauma-informed care.
The ideal candidate must be able to effectively build and maintain relationships with external stakeholders and other service agencies to ensure the needs of the Richmond community are met. They must have have a strong interest in building relationships with the community, stakeholders, and other service agencies, and be flexible and innovative in their approach to locating and identifying new opportunities for RASS.

This position works in a unionized office environment. This is a full-time position with a 37.5 hour, Monday to Friday standard work week. Additional evening, weekend, and overtime hours are as required to accommodate Board meetings, being on-call for essential services, and representing the organization at public events.
The Executive Director position receives a comprehensive compensation package, which includes a competitive salary, extended health benefits, and MPP.
