Canadian Hearing Services (CHS) has an opening for an Assignment Coordinator role who will be responsible for arranging interpreting services for culturally Deaf, oral Deaf, Deafened, hard of hearing and hearing consumers throughout Ontario. CHS Interpreting Services provide ASL-English and LSQ-French interpreting services. In this role, you will be responsible for taking requests and scheduling interpreters, undertake the financial processing and reporting of the service, in addition to educating clients and the public on the appropriate use of services.

 

This is a full-time, contract position from November, 2020 - November, 2021, Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. 

 

The ideal candidate bringing 2 plus years of experience will be an enthusiastic individual with excellent analytical, time management, and problem-solving skills. You will be someone with a sense of urgency who can handle pressure and has the ability to manage a varied workload with competing priorities and deadlines. The successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal, organizational and bilingual English and French communication skills. The candidate will need to be proficient and comfortable using Microsoft Office Suite and computerized scheduling systems.
