About the Position:

The Program Coordinator provides operational support to the Program Manager in delivering services to the remaining Internationally Trained Professionals (ITPs) of the FCR Loan pilot project regarding their licensing process. The Program Coordinator will also support the wind down process of the pilot project.


Reports to: Program Manager


Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Follows the established protocol to wind down the FCR Loan pilot project
  • Supports service delivery to remaining clients regarding their licensing process
  • Formulates strategies for achieving measurable objectives and outcomes
  • Collects data and prepares reports on a monthly basis
  • Reviews files to ensure service standards are met and in accordance with quality standards
  • Performs as a case manager to support clients based on operational needs
  • Maintains proper documentation and records of the program
  • Establishes and maintains an effective working relationship with stakeholders
  • Develops, reviews, revises and updates action plans according to client needs
  • Provides ongoing support to clients to ensure their career development objectives are being met
  • Provides professional mentoring or networking opportunities for clients to continue to enhance their employability
  • Keeps track of client’s progress and provide regular follow up support and guidance to every case managed client
  • Provides clients with job search and maintenance support in order to achieve sustainable and permanent employment
  • Follows up with clients on a bi-weekly basis to consistently support, guide and motivate them

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Post-secondary degree in career or employment development, vocational rehabilitation, social work, psychology, sociology, human resources, counselling, or education
  • Certified Career Development Practitioner (CCDP) or equivalent designation or demonstrate a plan to pursue similar designation
  • Experience in coordinating and implementing programs to ensure quality service delivery
  • Experience in building partnerships with employers and community agencies
  • Experience in connecting with employers to provide job experience for clients
  • Experience and knowledge in career counselling
  • Experience in working with individuals with complex barriers and a broad range of cultural backgrounds
  • Knowledge of labour market trends and information
