We are seeking a full-time veterinarian to join our Kamloops team to increase the number of animals helped in the community. In this position you will use your surgical and medical knowledge, as well as a high level of empathy and humility to positively impact the lives of people and animals in British Columbia.

The BC SPCA Spay-Neuter Clinic in Kamloops plays a critical role in saving lives by providing subsidized, high-volume spay/neuter services for dogs, cats, and occasionally rabbits. We work with our shelter network and external community partners to reduce stray populations by assuring sterilization and basic preventative care is available to owned and unowned animals. In addition to the core focus of spay/neuter, we also devote a portion of medical and surgical time to sick and injured animals in our own BC SPCA Kamloops shelter. With two operating spaces and separate area for dentistry (digital x-ray included), there is also the opportunity to take on other surgeries beyond spays and neuters for shelter animals.

As a member of the BC SPCA team, your passion for medicine as well as your compassion for animals and people is matched with a commitment to your professional growth.  Among the reasons to consider joining us are:

  • Leaders in animal welfare and humane veterinary practices, with fear-free training and certification provided for all staff
  • A key component to the success of our mission, we are a team of passionate and dedicated individuals working together to improve the lives of animals in B.C.
  • Opportunities to grow and learn
  • Competitive salary and extended benefits including medical coverage, annual licensing fees, VIN subscription, and continuing education
