We are a non-profit registered charity providing social services primarily in Surrey,
Delta, White Rock and Langley. We believe in helping people help themselves. We
believe in collaborating with individuals, businesses, community groups and
government to create focused, effective and responsive resources for the community.

Shifts Available:

Temporary Part-Time Weekends (Until March 31, 2021; 14 hrs. per week)
Temporary Full-Time (Until March 31, 2021; 35 hrs. per week)
(Various shifts needed 7-3, 3-11, 11pm-7am)

In partnership with BC Housing, these sites provide much needed shelter and support for individuals who are homeless and may be required to social distance or isolate due to COVID related concerns.

QUALIFICATIONS
Skills, abilities and competencies that are considered assets in this position:

 Bachelor’s degree or combination of education and experience
 Excellent interpersonal skills
 Ability to work with people with complex needs, including mental illness and addictions
 Competency engaging and working with marginalized people
 Experience working in the context of emergency residential settings
 Good communication and conflict resolution skills.
 Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
 Awareness of culturally sensitive issues
 Current First Aid Certificate required
 Food Safe Certificate an asset
 Unrestricted Class 5 driver’s license is required

 Crisis Line experience an asset.

Successful candidates will be required to provide a current and satisfactory Criminal Reference Check/Vulnerable Sector Search preceding your start date.

* An eligibility list will be maintained for up to 6 months.
