The work of PTC is inspired by their Founder and President, His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales, and his vision for a more sustainable future.  

 

PTC recently launched its 2020-2025 strategic plan, with an ambitious agenda that involves building resilient, future-ready communitiesAmbition has always informed the organizations approach to hiring and selection processes and will inform its search for a new Head of Programs and Impact. Nominations and applications are open for this critically important position—a position that will work alongside an overall staff complement that is small but mighty, transformative and impactful. 

 

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Head of Programs and Impact will have direct oversight of program delivery and impact measurement. The work includes: developing, planning and implementing programs; establishing excellent working relationships with collaborators (universities, youth-serving agencies, employer partners, student organizations, etc.) and with Prince’s Trust Group peer charities; recruiting and leading program-staff across Canada; and, ensuring funder and donor deliverables are achieved. The incumbent will also guide the organization in its work with young people who experience barriers to employment and will further develop the organization’s relationships with First Nations, Métis and Inuit communities, as well as other marginalized and racialized communities. As the organization further cements its place in the national youth employment landscape, this is an opportunity for a passionate leader to have an indelible impact on the lives of many.  

 

The incumbent will be a highly effective leader and communicator—someone who can inspire and effectively manage teamschart clear direction, and deliver exceptional results. The successful candidate has a proven track record of working strategically while knowing the details, has experience allocating budgets to meet program objectives, and brings expertise in program measurement and evaluation. To be successful in the role, the incumbent must be a strong collaborator and colleague, and must possess professionalism, discretion and integrity, and demonstrable success working affirmingly with Indigenous and racialized communities. Master’s level degree in Social/Human Services, Business, or Community Economic Development is sought (or the equivalent combination of formal training and experience), as is management experience that involves overseeing teams.
