Position: Fund Development Coordinator

Term: 1 Year Position @ 21hrs per week

Closing Date: Position will remain open until a suitable candidate is found


General Position Summary:

Responsible for managing and coordinating fund development for Inclusion Foothills Association by combining research, technology, fund development and planning of events for the 2021 term.

Functional Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Executive Director in the development and implementation of a Sustainable Fund Development plan
  • Assist with the design and dissemination of materials that promote the services offered by Inclusion Foothills.
  • Creation of OHS/Risk policies and protocols for fund development activities, including roles and responsibilities of volunteers
  • Recruit and train volunteers for events (Attend Volunteer Committee meetings)
  • Track and record activities regarding fund development with accurate timelines

Position Requirements:

  • Solid foundation of Inclusion Foothills Association’s mission and vision, including available programs
  • A proven track record of organizing successful events
  • Knowledge of basic recruitment practices
  • Social Marketing, Community Development or Public Relations background
  • Ability to work both as a team and independently
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Understanding of the Non Profit sector including Revenue Canada rules and regulations related to funding
  • Understand AGLC regulations while working closely with Raffle and Casino Chairperson as required
  • Problem solving ability
  • Strong organizational, leadership, interpersonal and supervisory skills
  • Computer Skills
  • Must possess a valid Alberta Driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle
  • Valid First Aid and CPR certificate or be prepared to obtain one
  • Recent Police Record Check Vulnerable Sector – Bring to Interview
  • Recent Child Intervention Check – Bring to Interview or confirmation of application
  • References – Minimum 3, Bring to Interview
