Position Summary:
The Youth Outreach Worker is responsible for providing individualized case management and group programming facilitation to help youth succeed academically and socially. This position involves developing relationships with youth and liaising with family members, school personnel, and community staff to support the educational needs of youth. In addition, Youth Outreach Workers will support the after-school tutoring and mentoring programming based in the community. The successful candidate will be dynamic, skilled and experienced in connecting with diverse communities, including Aboriginal, newcomer, and LGBTQ youth, to ensure they feel safe, supported, and connected. This position reports to the Program Supervisor of the Pathways Surrey Program.

Academic and Job Experience Required:
Post-secondary degree in education, Social Work, Psychology, or Child and Youth Care diploma. Plus two years’ experience working with diverse youth populations, or a combination of related education and work experience with youth.
