The College of Physiotherapists of Ontario regulates physiotherapists and exists to protect and serve the public interest. The College is seeking a proven professional with excellent communication and time management skills, data collection and analytical skills to fill the position of Quality Assurance Coordinator.
Position Overview
The Quality Assurance Coordinator ensures the day-to-day operations of the team are coordinated and implemented according to policy and approved procedures. The Coordinator provides research and project support to Quality Assurance Manager.
Duties and responsibilities
Program Support
Coordinates day-to-day support of the submissions from physiotherapists following on-site assessments and Quality Assurance Committee decisions
Monitors, tracks, and reports on assessor activities and brings issues to the Manager's attention in a timely way
Identifies program quality issues through internal audit processes and presents options for solution to the Manager
Committee Support
Prepares submissions, interview reports, and Committee case overviews for completion by the Manager
Prepares Committee agendas and case files for the Council and Committee portal
Tracks screening interview results, survey results, and database information to create reports that will be considered by the Committee
Works with the Decision Writer and Committee Support Specialist to prepare for Committee meetings
Program Evaluation Management
Runs database and third-party survey reports related to screening interviews, on-site assessments, and Committee meetings and provides support to the Manager as required
Analyzes data to identify trends in the quality assurance program and provides reports to the Manager on a scheduled basis
Distributes program evaluation surveys, consolidates and exports feedback from program participants, assessors, and other stakeholders, as required
Qualifications
Education and Experience
Post-Secondary education or University Degree and/or equivalent experience.
Experience in a health, regulatory, or publicly funded environment.
Program evaluation
Minimum 3 years relevant experience in office administration
Minimum 1-year experience working with a Board or a Board Committee
Specialized Knowledge:
Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (including Excel and Adobe Acrobat)
Program evaluation – implementing a plan, collecting and analyzing survey data
Use of third-party survey tools (e.g., Survey Monkey) for exporting reports, graphs, data
Knowledge and experience in database systems with experience in Microsoft Dynamics being an asset
Advanced computer skills with relational database experience in queries and reports
Experience with or demonstrated knowledge of the Regulated Health Professions Act
Health care background or experience is an asset
Employment Terms
A full-time one-year position to start on April 8, 2021
The College has a set pay scale for the position on offer, and the successful candidate will receive a salary within this range, depending on their experience in the field.
College employees can work out of the office in Toronto or from home. Note: in-person office attendance will be required on occasion.
