Looking to make a meaningful impact in your community? Are you inspired by working with youth? Do you believe that real-world experience could help mobilize this generation of young people to become water leaders in their own communities?
Ottawa Riverkeeper is seeking a creative, personable, and self-starting Youth Programming Intern to join our dynamic team and work directly on Youth and Education Programs. Reporting to the Director, River School and Youth Leadership, the Youth Programming Intern will be responsible for the planning, coordinating, and executing of the Youth Water Leaders Program, which develops cohorts of youth aged 17-25 into young leaders in water stewardship.
In particular, the Youth Programming Intern will lead a cohort of youth through water stewardship activities that will build their knowledge, skills, and networks. Our new colleague will be an excellent communicator - able to engage and mobilize youth in the program to raise awareness and take action on important issues within the Ottawa River watershed. Through online engagement of the Youth Water Leaders Program, they will spark curiosity and discovery within the community about how people can protect our waterways.
Application deadline is March 1 at 11:59 p.m. Please note, we will be reviewing applications on a rolling basis as they are received.
