This position reports to a Clinical Supervisor and is part of the Strong Families in Community department.

Presently we are looking for skilled counsellors to join our awesome team known for clinical excellence to engage children, youth, and families in creating change in their lives and communities.
As a Family Counselor, you will engage with children, youth, couples and families in the context of their community. You are knowledgeable and possess hands-on successful experience delivering clinical counseling services to individuals, children, and families who are experiencing challenges in their lives and seeking support from the counseling services offered by our team. Working from a trauma informed, strengths-based approach, your counseling strategies empower others and build resilience. You will develop and evaluate service goal plans, maintain clinical records and reporting requirements. Additionally, you will support with community referrals and system navigation to initiate other actions as required. An understanding of attachment, sand tray therapy, natural supports and mindfulness are assets.
While these positions will be focused on providing counseling, facilitating groups may be required on a weekly basis. Evening work of one evening per week as well as a flexible schedule is expected.
Qualifications & Experience
Current registration with a relevant professional association, as well as all necessary security clearances, is required.
1 Full Time Temporary, contract ends December 15, 2021 (1.0 FTE, 37.5 hours per week; $59,999 - $73,790)
2 Part Time Temporary, contract ends December 15, 2021 (0.8 FTE, 30 hours per week; $47,999 - $59,032)
