Reporting to PLEO’s Supervising Lawyer/Legal Director, the staff lawyer is an exciting new position and will enable PLEO to expand legal services to BC and the Yukon’s arts and culture sector and BC’s non-profit sector through the launch of two pilot legal clinics over the next year. The position is full-time.
Initially, the staff lawyer will support the Legal Director in establishing the foundation for the clinics: advancing PLEO’s client-intake systems and onboarding clinic volunteers, training law students, and developing clinical best practices and standard operating procedures. They will also develop and deliver webinars and workshops, as well as produce info sheets, templates and resources.
This position will be supported by a full-time administrator and volunteer law students.

This is a full-time, ongoing salaried position, with an annual compensation ranging between $60,000-70,000, based on experience. The PLEO office is situated in downtown Vancouver. Work schedule for the position is flexible with the ability to work remotely with some in-person.
