Stop the Violence Counsellor / Safe Home Coordinator
North Kootenay Lake Community Services Society in beautiful Kaslo, BC has an exciting temporary opening for an inspired and caring Stop the Violence Counsellor and Safe Home Coordinator.
28.5 hours per week (18.5 hours STV Counsellor; 10 hours Safe Home Coordinator)
As the Stop the Violence Counsellor / Safe Home Coordinator you will provide counselling services for women who have experienced current or historic sexual assault, violence / abuse in relationships; and coordinate a Kaslo-based Safe Home Program: providing crisis intervention and safety planning for women and their children at risk of violence. The Counsellor works closely with other members of the clinical team of counsellors at NKLCSS. Benefits, supervision and professional development provided.
If you have experience and/or training in a feminist and trauma clinical approach and a Masters Degree in Social Work, Counselling Psychology or a related Bachelors Degree with two years equivalent experience, and are looking for a position that offers a rewarding career in a beautiful and caring community setting, please consider this opportunity.
Stop the Violence Counsellor: $26.5-$32.53/hour depending on qualifications and experience.
Safe Home Coordinator: $31.37-$37.37/hour depending on qualifications and experience.
