About the Position:

This position is responsible for the coordination with AEIP’s Canadian Partners, community organizations, employers, sector councils, and other pre-arrival service providers, to ensure a continuum of pre-arrival and post-arrival services. The Partnership & Communications Manager is also responsible for developing communications and marketing strategies, both external and internal, in line with project objectives.


Reports to: Program Director


Key Duties & Responsibilities:

Relationship Building

  • Builds and maintains strong tactical and strategic relationships with Canadian-wide partners
  • Collaborates with Canadian Partners, community organizations, employers, and other stakeholders to schedule/organize workshops, events and fairs
  • Acts as liaison between partners and service team to drive achievement of project goals
  • Coordinates annual meetings for Canadian Partner Agencies to share their service progress, best practices, identified areas for program improvement and follows up with action items
  • Ensures a high standard of referral process/service delivery by recommending, implementing, monitoring, and maintaining quality assurance standards set annually for the program area

Communications and Social Media Relations

  • Manages the use and application of AEIP social media channels through all communications, media, and marketing initiatives
  • Responsible for program promotion and marketing
  • Carries out a strategic interface role with AEIP leadership and other Canadian-wide partners to support the objectives for AEIP communications and branding strategy
  • Develops internal communication protocols to enhance operational efficiencies
  • Works with the service team to plan social media responses and writes/edits external communications

Integration and Collaboration

  • Informs and updates the Program Director on project needs and outcomes
  • Ensures the implementation of client-centered referral process by working collaboratively with other managers and directors

Operations and Staff Management

  • Responsible for the selection, professional development and performance evaluation of the Employer Liaison
  • Ensures close cooperation with the Employer Liaison to achieve a consistent high level of service delivery
  • Provides monthly/quarerly/annual reports and identifies any issues/opportunities pertaining to partnership, client referrals, job development activities, and workshops/events scheduling to the Program Director

Leadership and Representation

  • Participates as part of the AEIP leadership team to plan, implement, manage, and evaluate the pre-arrival to post-arrival project activities to ensure quality service standard and project effectiveness
  • Establishes and maintains working relationships with partners, employers and other agencies
  • Analyzes trends in pre-arrival services, identifies issues, concerns and program needs including finances
  • Engages in national settlement and employment events that are aligned with the service objectives
  • Other related duties as assigned by the Program Director

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 5 years’ settlement and/or employment services experience
  • Minimum of 2 year social service sector or relevant supervisory/managerial experience
  • Experience with program and curriculum development
  • Experience with multicultural clientele and immigrant related services
  • Knowledge of intercultural and social issues
  • Knowledge of community resources and immigration/settlement issues
  • Knowledge of digital marketing, social media, and/or online applications for promotion and communication
