About the Job:
Reporting to the Director, Payroll & Benefits We are looking for an inspired Compensation and Benefits Specialist to join our human resources department. You will be responsible for overseeing, managing and administering our employees' rewards, perks and benefits programs, developing programs that to improve performance, engagement and satisfaction of our staff.

You thrive on a passion for standards and the promotion of best practices in recruitment and retention. You are a team player who strives for excellence but loves to have a good laugh, is able to think fast, be critical, and make sound decisions without agonizing, all while working in an incredibly dynamic and fast-paced environment.
You have a minimum of two years’ experience as a compensation and benefits specialist including prior experience in HR operations and knowledge of best practices. You have a good understanding of the full cycle hiring process and familiarity with current employment rules and regulations, as well as hands on experience with HRIS. You have experience with quantitative and qualitative research and exceptional interpersonal and communication skills. A bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration or similar relevant field or the equivalent combination of relevant skill-based training and work experience. A GBA designation is a requirement and a CHRP designation is a bonus.
Skills & Abilities:
• Excellent computer skills, including easer working with Microsoft Office Suite. Experience with Payworks and Sage 300 software is a significant asset.
• Strong knowledge of benefit programs and related functions.
• Ability to prioritize, multi-task and complete assignments under strict deadlines.
• Superior problem-solving skills and the ability to make tough decisions without agonizing.
• A good sense of humour, strong interpersonal skills and comfort working in an open environment is essential.
• You must be authorized to work in Canada.
