Our mission is to source and steward sustainable funding, inspire volunteers to contribute their time, and to engage with our community and staff to build awareness about the impact and value of mentorship. Our Foundation, along with Renew Crew teams, work to raise funds to support the efforts of Big Brothers of Greater Vancouver (BBGV).

A key fund development role within the organization, the Development Officer contributes significantly to the growth and sustainability of BBGV’s programming for children and youth. This role is responsible for managing the writing and submission of grant applications and reports, leading the organization’s annual fundraising and donor recognition, and carrying out the administration of the donor database.
The Development Officer oversees one direct report and works collaboratively across departments on grant activities while stewarding relationships with new and existing donors, and provides support to the Executive Director on recognizing major gift donors. This role has significant responsibility for managing complex projects and is accountable for achieving specific funding goals laid out in the strategic plan. This is a 12-month parental leave contract position with a possible extension. Temporarily remote due to COVID-19.
