Music Project Assistant (Part-Time, Fixed Term Contract)


Reports to:        Recreation and Volunteer Programs Manager

Supervises:       N/A


Job Summary


Reporting to the Recreation and Volunteer Programs Manager, the Music Project Assistant will work closely with the Music Project Coordinator to deliver day-to-day program support including client intake, data entry, preparing shipments and processing mail.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities



  • Process client applications
  • Enter client information into database accurately
  • Flag non-routine and urgent requests for Musi Project Coordinator


Prepare program materials

  • Label music players
  • Assemble packages for clients following strict procedures
  • Create personalized playlists with strong attention to detail


Shipment and Mail

  • Prepare shipments and strive to meet weekly targets
  • Keep track of shipments that are not delivered
  • Process incoming mail


Data Compilation

  • Assist with organizing and compiling data
  • Other tasks to assist with program implementation and administration as requested by Music Project Coordinator


Job Qualifications



  • Post secondary diploma



  • A minimum of two years administrative experience
  • Data entry experience
  • Experience working with persons with dementia and their family or formal caregivers is an asset
  • Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered


Other Knowledge, Skills, Abilities or Certifications:

  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to follow strict procedures
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Some evening and weekend hours as required
