Clinical and Administrative Assistant

 

With the COVID-19 pandemic, mental health and learning needs are greater than ever. Do you genuinely care about helping others? Our non-profit organization seeks a talented professional with dual skillsets in administration and clinical services (psychology, social work, or related) to join our team of psychologists, literacy specialists, and early childhood educators.

 

The CanLearn Society is a leader in learning and attention difficulties and an innovator in literacy programming. Our team consists of psychologists, learning and literacy specialists, paediatricians and early childhood educators. We are a registered charity that has been providing services to Calgary and the area since 1979. Help us to change lives through learning! Do you genuinely care about helping others? This is a demanding, fast-paced position. Attention to detail and the ability to multitask are absolutely critical. We are a small organization, and the successful candidate will work independently on a day-to-day basis while displaying excellent interpersonal skills in supporting coworkers.

 

This is a full-time position with benefits.

 

Primary Responsibilities include:

 

  • Providing information about our services to potential clients
  • Providing excellent customer service to existing clients
  • Conducting in-depth triage interviews and scheduling appointments with our clinical staff
  • Invoicing for clinical services
  • Reconciling financial reports
  • Receiving, recording and recognizing charitable donations
  • Scheduling meetings and providing support to board members
  • Checking and sorting mail
  • Supporting clinicians and administrative lead as required

 

Secondary Responsibilities include: 

  • Providing coverage to the administrative team as required
  • Supporting clinicians with client-specific requests

 

Our agency is currently evolving. Candidates must be willing to adapt and grow with the role as the needs of the agency and our clients' change. The above responsibilities may change.

  • A background or degree in Psychology (or a related field) is required
  • Minimum 1-2 years of administrative experience

 

This position is currently working part-time remote. The successful candidate will have the comfort and skill level required to work with the necessary technology at home and be comfortable working in an office setting when required. This balance may shift in the coming months.
