At The Central Alberta Outreach Society (The Outreach Centre), we strive to provide integrated, and sustainable programming, partnerships and education for our clients who require support and assistance navigating issues of domestic violence, suicidal ideation, homelessness and poverty.  Located in Red Deer and serving Central Alberta, we are an amalgam of the former Suicide Information & Education Services and Women’s Outreach Centre which officially coordinated in 2020. 

Executive Director

Working with the Board of Directors, and using a team based, client centric approach, the Executive Director will provide leadership and strategic direction in matters of policy, program development and evaluation, resource allocation and monitoring and fund development as well as advocacy and community development.

 

The Outreach Centre will be best served by an experienced, dynamic leader whose body of work demonstrates their intrinsic motivation to translate business strategy into service delivery.  They will be an energetic leader with presence, credibility and a proven ability to influence and build relationships. The likely candidate will possess:

  • University degree with a concentration in Public Administration, Health Administration, Human Services, Commerce or equivalent;
  • Successful track record of 5 or more years’ experience leading in a non-profit environment;
  • Experience in program development, delivery and evaluation, financial policies and principles;
  • Excellent oral, written and group communication skills including the ability to develop and present briefing material and professional presentations;
  • Excellent alternate dispute resolution, negotiation and problem-solving skills;
  • Sound decision-making abilities and history of recommending innovative and creative business solutions in support of optimal organizational performance; and
  • Board governance experience with demonstrated ability to facilitate effective meetings.
