McCreary Centre Society is a not-for-profit committed to improving the health of BC youth through research, evaluation, and youth engagement projects. The Society sponsors and promotes a wide range of activities and research to identify and address the health needs of young people in the province.
McCreary Centre Society is looking for a summer student with an interest in youth health to: work virtually with a staff mentor as part of a team to support the dissemination of research reports and resources on the health of BC youth by coordinating the organization of digital content on the organization’s website; ensuring information is accessible to diverse audiences (including community agencies, government, parents, and youth); and contributing to knowledge dissemination and communications planning, as required.
Skills and Experience:
• Interest in youth health
• Experience with digital media and/or web development
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Good organizational skills
• Flexible and adaptable
To be considered for the position you must:
• Be between 15 and 30 years of age
• Be legally entitled to work in Canada
• Hours of work: 35 per week
• $16.50 per hour
• Start Date: ASAP for 8 weeks
