Coordinator, Annual Campaign

The Coordinator, Annual Campaign develops and leverages relationships with key constituents at various levels within assigned corporate and individual accounts.  This involves working closely with assigned accounts to plan, organize and implement activities to successful achieve a stronger and sustained United Way commitment.  The Coordinator will establish and leverage relationships with volunteers, key business and individuals to help grow United Way’s revenue.  The Coordinator will provide support to other staff, volunteers including Campaign Cabinet and Employee Campaign Chairs, and participants within the Loaned Representative program. 

 

This is a permanent full-time position that is responsible for:

  • Delivering and telling United Way’s story in an effective manner that resonates with stakeholders and inspires them to take action.
  • Actively participating in implementing annual resource development strategies. This includes acquiring, cultivating, engaging, soliciting and stewarding current and potential donors. 
  • Supporting, stewarding and building relationships with corporate partners, individual donors, volunteers and staff. 
  • Participating in United Way and community events and striving to expand United Way’s network within the community. 

 

The successful candidate will have:

  • University undergraduate degree or equivalent in a related area
  • 2-3 years of experience in fundraising/development, sales or consulting
  • Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships and collaborate with staff, volunteers and community members
  • Creative and innovative thinker
  • Strong communication skills including experience in developing and delivering presentations to large groups
    Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively to achieve organizational and program objectives
  • Analytical skills with ability to use judgment for strategic thinking and problem solving
  • Ability to effectively forge, manage and maintain long-standing donor relationships
  • Proven organizational abilities and the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines under pressure
  • Excellent teamwork, interpersonal and customer service skills including the ability to work respectfully and inclusively
    with a diverse employee population
  • Experience with a donor relationship management database system, as well as proven capabilities with financial reporting and tracking software
