Contract Length: 9 weeks, 30 hours per week

Pay: $16.00/hour

 

Eligibility:

  • Between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of the employment
  • Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act for the duration of the employment
  • Have a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment and be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial/territorial legislation and regulations

 

About the Organization:

Established in 2009, The Roberta Bondar Foundation (RBF) fuses environmental science and visual art through photography of the natural world to generate engagement, stimulate creativity and promote ethical responsibility for the natural environment. Our work is based on four program pillars: i) the Bondar Challenge, ii) Traveling Exhibitions and Learning Experiences, iii) Speaker Series, Workshops and Seminars, and iv) Research and Publications.

 

Position Description:

Our foundation requires a post-secondary candidate working from their home office to assist with fundraising tasks. Strong communication skills, clerical experience and data entry accuracy required. Access to a computer, internet and telephone are necessary. Not for profit experience preferred. Duties are to:    

  • Assist with preparing individual donor solicitation packages, thank you letters and other communications.    
  • Research potential sponsors, foundations and government agencies. Contact select funders to confirm eligibility and deadlines. Draft submission content.   
  • Assist with the planning and promotion of a virtual event.
