Information Children is looking for a Parent Coach-Educator.

The Parent Coach-Educator's main role is to promote the organization's primary objective: Providing practical parenting information and support to families with young children. The Parent Coach-Educator participates in the overall coordination and implementation of service by developing, evaluating, and participating in Information Children’s programs and practices. They will work as part of a team that reports directly to the Board of Directors.



Key Activities


Participates in service delivery, facilitation of workshops, individual presentations, Helpline counselling, parent 1:1 coaching, and other related activities.
Serves as a liaison with community, and government agencies, particularly in relation to their advisory and financial support of Information Children.
Maintains agency database and provides pertinent statistical reports on the society’s deliverables for projects and grants, which include progress reports, annual reports, or other special reports and applications as required.
Participates in the communication of Information Children’s values  and mission  through the creative development and distribution of parenting pamphlets, parenting blogs, social media, and Information Children’s website.


Minimum Qualifications: 


Bachelor's degree in a Social Science Field (such as Social Work, Family Studies, Child Development, Psychology, Counselling) and two years experience working directly with families as a Parent Coach-Educator and of program management/supervisory experience, or any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.


Preferred Qualifications: 


Master's degree in a Social Science field (such as Social Work, Counselling Psychology), with at least two years experience working directly with families as a Parent Coach-Educator, experience with program management/supervisory roles, or any equivalent or comparable combination of experience and/or education, skills and abilities.

Salary: Up to $34,000.00 per year
