EPC is a non-profit organization providing employment services in the Peterborough area since 1982.  We have a team-oriented, supportive work culture and seek motivated employees that are committed to a high standard of service and ongoing learning.  We are currently seeking an experienced Financial Administrator.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Budget preparation and management
  • Cashflow and financial forecasting
  • Payroll and benefits administration
  • Bookkeeping - responsible for accurate, daily maintenance of all organizational financial records, A/P, A/R
  • Detailed financial reporting - for Executive Director, Board of Directors and funders
  • Cashflow and financial forecasting
  • Work with Auditor for timely completion of annual and individual program audits
  • Ensure that all financial practices follow current accounting principles and funder requirements

Qualifications:

  • Completion of relevant university degree
  • Minimum of 5 year's experience in maintaining the daily financial records of a business, preferably in the non-profit sector
  • 5 year's experience in budgeting, and organizational financial management, preferably in the non-profit sector
  • Highly proficient in use of accounting software (preferably Quickbooks) and Excel
  • Proficient in MS Word, Outlook and ability to learn additional, specialized software as required
  • Excellent communication, analytical and problem-solving abilities
